چکیده

Objective: In addition to causing immunosuppression, hemodialysis may increase the risk of infection, given that patients are more frequently exposed vascular interventions and operative procedures. The present study aims reveal prevalence spondylodiscitis in on hemodialysis, potential factors, parameters help early diagnosis disease. Materials Methods: Patients who received treatment unit between 2010 2020 were included study. Data with low back pain obtained retrospectively from Mia-Med patient registry system. Results: frequency was 2.3%. Findings showed prolonged dialysis duration (p<0.001), catheter use (p=0.005), diabetes mellitus (p=0.029), heart failure (p=0.005) increased discitis. Leukocyte neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) (p=0.006), platelet-to-lymphocyte (PLR) (p=0.001), sedimentation (p<0.001) C-reactive protein (CRP) levels significantly higher spondylodiscitis. Conclusion: Spondylodiscitis occurs prevalently comorbidity, have long duration, catheters elderly patients. Leukocytosis, CRP, can be used for rapid diagnosis. addition, NLR TLR, which easily calculated results whole blood tests,

[Exercise in haemodyalisis patients: a literature systematic review].

Exercise as a therapeutic tool used in End-stage renal disease patients (ESRD) in hemodialysis (HD) is not routinately applied, as it occurs with cardiac or respiratory patients. Lack of awareness of research in this field may contribute to the current situation. Thus, the aims of this review are: 1) to systematically review the literature of exercise training on adult HD patients or patients a...

Characteristics of spontaneous coagulase-negative staphylococcal spondylodiscitis: a retrospective comparative study versus Staphylococcus aureus spondylodiscitis

BACKGROUND Coagulase-negative staphylococci (CoNS) are increasingly implicated in recent patient series of spondylodiscitis, but there are no series of CoNS-spondylodiscitis available. The objective of this study was to compare the characteristics of patients with spontaneous CoNS-spondylodiscitis with those patients with Staphylococcus aureus (SA) spondylodiscitis. METHODS This was a retrosp...

CBR for Temporal Abstractions Configuration in Haemodyalisis

In the haemodyalisis domain, we are implementing a casebased architecture aimed at configuring Temporal Abstractions (TA) to be applied to time series data. The advantage of a case-based approach is the one of “quickly” obtaining a suitable parameter configuration, simply by looking at the most similar already configured case, where configured cases are indexed by means of contextual informatio...

Assessment of fluid responsiveness in patients under spontaneous breathing activity.

To assess fluid responsiveness in patients under spontaneous breathing activity ventilation remains a challenge for intensive care physicians. Much of the knowledge on heart-lung interactions and dynamic indexes of fluid responsiveness may not be useful for these patients. Historically, the most frequently used variables to guide fluid responsiveness on this population have been the static prel...

Diagnosis and treatment of spondylodiscitis in HIV-positive patients.

With an incidence between 1:100,000 and 1:250,000, spondylodiscitis is rare, but is increasingly reported due to longer life expectancy, risk factors, and comorbidities, with HIV+ patients being at greater risk. We reviewed the literature on the diagnostic tools, and on the benefits and drawbacks of different treatments of spondylodiscitis in HIV- positive patients. We discuss basic strategies ...
